Barrie is Chairman of Precision Corporate Finance and has over 30 years of experience in lead advisory. Barrie has been a pioneer in developing the market as it now exists and effectively invented the “covert auction” process employed by PCF.

Barrie has published 14 books on M&A and particularly selling businesses, has delivered seminars at the Institute of Directors, for the Institute of Chartered Accountants as well as numerous other prestigious organisations.

Barrie was founder of Livingstone Guarantee, the first independent corporate finance house in the UK, and was Executive Chairman until it was sold to Tenon Group in 2001. He advised on hundreds of transactions in disposals, management buy-outs and listings.
